I believe it was in the fourth or second grade when I read this story and our teacher read it to us while we followed along with our own copies. Today, I wouldn't enjoy this story because of my age, but back in elementary school I thought it was, in my little tiny brain, "Inspiring". I thought that if those kids could change the name of a pen, could you imagine what other things kids could do to get on the bad side of our teachers? This book is written with such wit and humor that any child could not fall in love with it. I know that I probably won't appreciate this story now, but I'm forever grateful that I read it back in elementary school.
