Dead Voices

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, ‘Small Spaces.’ It was creepy and atmospheric. This book was a little creepy but leaned more campy. It felt more like Scooby-Doo and the mystery gang. Which I LOVE. But I was expecting a scary middle grade. The first book had suspense, and the characters were fully fleshed out. It was eery and suspenseful. This book felt disconnected from the first book. I understand it is aimed for middle-grade readers, but to me, this book doesn’t hold a candle in comparison to the first one. It was very disappointing.
