DNF’d 30% in. This book, at least the _audio_book, is insufferable. I don’t care about the characters. I hate the self aware authorial voice, and the coupling of this with these people who can’t figure out their lives revolving around sex is so boring and feels incredibly infantile. I don’t know why people love this so much. I don’t find it particularly intellectual and it’s annoying qualities only seem to be continually augmented as it progresses.

I just had to describe what reading this was like to a friend and I described it as the same energy as a white lib at a party saying he’s a feminist and polyamorous, while not understanding either concept, actually, but knows it will get him laid.
