I really enjoyed this one at first, I liked the characters and their contrast. I really liked Patience. She was so dedicated and lively. I loved the touches of her heritage in the book from her coconut bread to her color choices and expressions. Up until about 70% I was really enjoying this one. However, at that point it really slowed down for me and I was having trouble keeping track of what they were up to and why. It was also just quite long, and I wish I had realized it was a closed-door romance ahead of reading. Overall it was interesting, but felt quite long.
