I read this book with my AntiRacist book club at my job that I help facilitate . I really think that this is one of the most important books I’ve read in a while. It makes you uncomfortable and shows you just how unholy our country is and has been. No one is going to be perfect in any type of social justice work that they do. This book really hones in on the fact that we don’t need to be perfect, we just need to do SOMETHING because that inactivity has resulted in hundreds of years of oppression. I’m so grateful to have read this at this time in my life.
