Both of these stories are essential when it comes to vampires and vampiric horror. Although I found The Vampyre to be a bit difficult to understand, it still was an okay read. Carmilla, on the other hand, was better. Not only was it more understandable to read, but it is a queer classic too! Both stories are a must for anyone instructed in vampires/vampire history.
