dark emotional sad medium-paced

This was a collection of accounts about missing persons by a journalist who specializes in writing short form articles about them.  The main thread of the story is the missing persons case of Jacob Grey.  The book is quite well written and by the end of the book I felt like I totally knew his father, the main “protagonist” of the book, if you will.

I’d recommend it if you’re interested in travel writing about the Pacific Northwest or true crime as a genre.
