Locke & Key, Vol. 5: Clockworks
by Joe Hill
Geez I'm blowing through books right now because of this virus. It's nice, but also no money is coming in, so I'm sad. Comics are saving me!
Locke and Key heats up. The evil creature has taken one of our family members and is planning for its turn at killing them all. Then soon into the book we get the background. We learn ALL about the Locke's family past. All about big old pops and when he was a teenager with his group of friends and how they dealt with the keys.
This is actually a really sad volume. You can feel every step of the way the worst and worst is about to come. SO many deaths, so many twist, so much sadness. This is amazing volume with so much emotion and great art to help tell the story. Overall, you HAVE to read this series.
A 5 out of 5.
