This book is well written and one “Interlude” was absolutely genius (in fact I would have stopped reading the book but that part gave me hope of more of Boyne’s trademark wit and brilliance). But the subject and protagonist are so despicable they became nearly absurd. Read it if you enjoy Boyne and/or villain protagonists.
