This was such a thought provoking read, it asks so many really tough questions and would make for an excellent choice for a book club. The hardest question of all is could you forgive your child for killing their sibling? Horrifying and that’s just a small piece of what Angie and David are dealing with as parents. This was complex and bleak and really focused on the aftermath of the murder and how it deeply affected this family. It also jumps back in time to provide insight into how David and Angie first meet as well as some traumatic times in Angie’s life as a younger woman. The whole thing was very interesting if difficult to read at times and was a well written story about family dynamics and tragedy.
