At the Edge of the Universe by Shaun David Hutchinson
3.0

Edge of the Universe follow Ozzie as he tries to go through life knowing hes the only one who remembers his best friend Tommy. He has all these memories about someone who according to everyone else does not exist. The universe is shrinking and he seems to be the only one who knows.

This book had a lot of ups and downs for me.. I loved the way Hutchinson pulls you into the story and gets you invested in the emotions of the characters. I really enjoyed the way he added a magical/fantastical element in a realistic modern contemporary. The underlying themes of medical health are weaved well into the plot..

My main issue with this book is the pacing... There is a big chunk in the middle that drags and not a lot happens.. This is almost a 500 page novel that didn't need to be that long. I'm also still torn on the ending and can't determine if I liked it or not.
