I honestly don't know how to review this! I liked it a lot but also didn't love it like I did  Fourth Wing. It might just be what I like to refer to as the "second book curse". It wasn't perfect to me, it took me longer to read than the first one, and I struggled a bit with a certain dragon (but can't really explain why because of possible spoilers).

I am so torn with the relationship of Violet and Xaden. He keeps SO MUCH from her. You love her-tell her the important things! Don't hide them. Let her decide how she takes the information. But the scenes between these two are always charged! 

I still enjoy this world Rebecca has built and she sure knows how to do a cliffhanger to keep you salivating for more!
