The Pink Hotel
by Liska Jacobs
dark
tense
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Complicated
Loveable characters:
No
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
If I did not receive this book from the publisher, I probably would not have finished it. The pacing of this story was incredibly slow and I kept waiting for something exciting to happen. Jacobs, the author, did touch on some important themes, such as classism and greed, but any messages she was trying to get across were overshadowed by how boring this book was. I will not be recommending this title to anyone.
