I love books about angels and jumped on this short story series immediately.

NOTE: This story is M/M and has erotic scenes. I mention this only to give a heads up. I didn't mind it but wasn't expecting it.

Four angels (Michael, Zadekiel, Jophiel, and Gabriel) live on Earth and hunt down fallen angels and their offspring.

Lake is part angel. When we first meet him he goes to a gay bar. There's a cringe-worthy moment with the bouncer and Lake, but it was short lived and stopped just before it became disturbing.

Despite being the son of an angel, Lake has a sad life with a drunk mom and an absent father. He's bullied mercilessly by other teens and brings out negative reactions in all people. I felt bad for him and really wanted to hug him!

When it comes to Lake, Michael feels a deep connection and falls to temptation, but Lake is the very thing Michael hunts....

I enjoyed the tension, the action, and the dilemmas the character's faced.

The story ends on a big cliff hanger though, with many story lines open, which is pure torture. I am diving into the next story right now!
