Is this book ground breaking? No. But is this book enjoyable and written well? I think so. The premise is one you've probably read before in some way but I think the magic system and some unique aspects of the world building make this an interesting read. I never felt like I was struggling through it and I enjoyed the journey it took me on. I am however more excited to read the sequel covering the dancing sister and the pirate as I think I'll like that one more.
