A Family Affair
by Mary Campisi
I read this book in thinking that it would be a cute contemporary, oh but was I wrong.
It's about a well off family in Chicago waiting for their father to come home from his monthly trip away to his cabin only to be found that he has died in a car accident on the way back. His fortune is divided between his wife his daughter and an unknown woman called Lily Desantro. His daughter sets out to this cabin to find out who this lily is.
It's set from various perspectives throughout the book, from our main character Michelle from her crude Uncle Harry to her pathetic excuse of a mother.
I personally found this too much of an 'adult' book because of the VIVID sexual thoughts/scenes, but apart from that a moving piece which kept her hooked with each read.
