Way too cringey. Was expecting insta-love given the length which isn’t my favorite trope but I’ve seen it done decently before. This was just way too cutesy and cringey for my tastes. The FMC has a male gay best friend that is a walking stereotype though I’m not saying that gay men can’t do make well and be feminine it just seems to be a running theme in romance books that the FMC always has a male friend that is always gay and is very stereotypical. Also, there’s just too much cringey dialogue like “kawaii”, “wolf daddy”, and the unironic use of “👉🏼👈🏼”. Also, I thought this was a shifter romance but the MMC is a straight up bipedal dog man. He stays a dog the whole time and is too doglike. No thanks. And then when the MMC as supposed to go “full feral” on the FMC it was the tamest thing I’ve ever read.
