The title of the book grabbed my attention because of how relatable and honest it was. I think many people have the expectation that this would be a self-help book about depression and anxiety, however, it turns out to be an entire transcript of the author's initial therapy sessions and it's simply just that - conversations they had with their psychiatrist with a few journal notes.

The writing wasn't bad, but I did notice immediately that the translations from Korean to English seemed a bit stiff and unnatural as though it were written by someone who had only learnt a new language from studying a Korean-English textbook for adults.

It was interesting to see what potentially undergoing therapy in South Korea would be like, knowing that there's a big stigma against those with mental illness in that country. I thought it was brave of the author to publish her honest feelings around her low-self esteem and anxiety, however, I still felt like I barely knew her at the end of the read despite the editor saying that this is part-memoir.
