The parts of this book that I really appreciated were the patients stories, how the author tried to include women/people of multiple backgrounds and give a multifaceted face to abortion. I also liked the information the author gave on abortion access.
However, I think the actual writing came off a bit cluttered. Better organization or editing would have helped with the flow better. The author would interrupt the episodes describing the titles’ main patient’s story with scientific information, or a tangentially related story about someone else. I think formatting the book a little differently would have allowed for less confusion while reading. However, I really love what the author did accomplish with it.
