“We could sum up the entire message of this book in the following way; leaders stand for something - vision. Leaders stand on something - values.”
The Power of Character in Leadership is something I believe everyone should read, even if you don't consider yourself a leader. A leader is something that everyone can be and is in an area of their life. Dr. Munroe teaches up incoming leaders and old leader in The Power of Character in Leadership how to protect themselves from themselves.
The Power of Character in Leadership talks about the basis of character, values, and convictions. Dr. Munroe challenged the reader to think about their values, morals, beliefs, convictions and decided what do they stand on and for. Examples of how leaders have shown one face in public and another in private are showcased throughout The Power of Character in Leadership . Dr. Munroe talks about having a deep moral foundation how your beliefs shape your values and morals etc. He also explains that trials will come, but they shape and mold you into who you are made to be; strengthening you to be a better leader.
At the end of The Power of Character in Leadership there are worksheets to help you fill out and decide what is important to you all in the different areas discussed in the book. The Power of Character in Leadership is a great book that I'd recommend to anyone. What are your values, morals, beliefs and principles?
