This book seemed like it would be a quick and easy read, and maybe it could've been, but for whatever reason, it was almost a slog for me. I felt more interested in the intergenerational family relationships that mostly happened off-page than the actual romance, which seemed inevitable and too coincidental that he worked at the same place that was relevant to the plot in other ways. I really didn't like how neatly Vanessa could bring together another couple just by vibing it out? I know she had magical powers but it was a little too much even for this world imo.
