The Stillwater Girls by Minka Kent
3.0

Secluded from the world in a cabin out in the woods, Wren and Sage are left home by themselves when their youngest sister Evie becomes ill and their mother has to take her to receive medical care/attention. Months later and their mother and sister have yet to return a man appears with intentions of taking them. Wren and Sage run... they run until they come across the home where Nicolette and her husband lives. The couple's marriage is at risk even before they meet Wren and Sage but their appearance unravels a series of events and discovered truths that make these strangers closer than they could ever imagine. The Stillwater Girls is told between Wren's and Nicolette's POV, is fast paced, and I absolutely loved the story up until I just didn't. I feel like towards the end of the book the writing style changed and it wasn't emotional or painful... it was just, this is what happens. The writing lost interest so I lost interest. Definitely quick and easy but wished I was crying my heart out at the end like I expected.
