This book was weird in a good way I think but kinda had no build up or plot building what so ever. It was a lot of scientific observations which I enjoyed and a lot of weird things happening with no explanation what so ever. Maybe these things get cleared up in the rest of the series but it was kind of disorienting lol.

I wanted to know exactly what the writing on the wall meant, what “the crawler” actually was and why these transformations and changes were happening. I am also confused on if the biologist is going to die since she was infected by the spores, and if it’s taking longer since it wasn’t as direct or if she’s just immune now and won’t die. Anyway I hope she finds her husband even if it is unlikely.

Wild idea for a book though and I do want to know more.
