All the Light We Cannot See
by Anthony Doerr
I enjoyed reading this book from the very beginning, because I visited Saint Malo in high school.
However, the ending left me wanting more explanation. There was no clear, satisfying end with respect to the diamond. Also, Warner and Marie-Laure's meeting was unsatisfying. However, if they had ended up together, it wouldn't have felt as real of an ending. I'm sure there were plenty of missed connections during the war. To me, the ending was much more interesting because it showed how strong Marie-Laure actually was.
However, the ending left me wanting more explanation.
