Misfit
by Elle Kennedy
Wealthy kids. Gossip girl vibes. Some mystery. Misfit was intriguing from the start and I continued to get sucked into the Sandover Prep world.
RJ is forced to go to a school he doesn’t want to. He isn’t one for making connections but that fails when it comes to Fenn (his stepbrother) and his two friends, Silas and Lawson. He also doesn’t expect Sloane….who just so happens to be the headmasters daughter.
I loved the back and forth when it came to RJ and Sloane. RJ wasn’t afraid to go after her. Sloane couldn’t fight the attraction and the connection that was between them for long. The two of them really worked well together and I felt brought out a lot in each other throughout the story.
I loved RJ’s relationship with the guys. They really seem like a unlikely bunch, yet they have a great bond with each other. Especially RJ and Fenn. I loved the progression of the friendship.
With that bombshell at the end I am intrigued on how everything is going to play out.
This story is told in multiple POVs, but primarily it is Sloane and RJ. I loved getting little bits and pieces from the other guys. It was a great introduction to them and some insight into who they are.
If you’re looking for a forbidden, somewhat suspenseful, darkish, NA romance check this one out.
