How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi
4.0

Some eye-opening concepts (and definitions). I found the discussion of race as a fiction invented essentially to support racism, which in turn supports greed to be quite interesting. I also enjoyed the discussion of intersectionality and was enlightened by the problems of suasion. I thought the book got bogged down by
1. the sometimes heavy and self-referential definitions that preceded each chapter, and
2. the barrage of rapid-fire historical references embedded in the text. At times it was too much, too fast, and they ran together, the author sometimes used contranyms, so one really had to study the sentences, rereading them to see what side of the anti-/racist divide the referenced person was on.
