These Ghosts Are Family is a crazy family tale that takes the reader down some interesting rabbit holes. Chronologically the book jumps all over the place and the POV changes quite often; usually that's not my favorite narration method when I'm reading but the way Card writes draws the reader into not even notice all this extra stuff is taking place. The premise of These Ghosts Are Family is interesting and while that's what the plot hinges on for most of the book, that's not all the book covers. Being able to see each story of all the family members involved and how the deception affected their lives was one of the best parts of this book. As a reader, you just have to wonder how things could have been changed or how characters actions, emotions, or responses affected the playing out of their future. The end of These Ghosts Are Family is chilling, I would not have been able to go to sleep if there weren't other people in my house. The way this book was written was very intoxicating and drew me in until the very end.

I'm the type of reader who loves to get intimating acquainted with the characters in the story, so having the story and the storyline jump around was a bit hard for me. I did find the cohesiveness of the story lacking at times but overall the main piece of the story stayed together for me. Card takes the reader on a journey through the story and as readers we continue along until the very troubled end with no real closure.
