Love & Gelato

This book gave me [b:13 Little Blue Envelopes|17020|13 Little Blue Envelopes (Little Blue Envelope, #1)|Maureen Johnson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1375030179i/17020._SY75_.jpg|1008846] vibes! I enjoyed Lina learning about her mother's story and the characters were very fun! I've never read a book set in Italy, but now I want to go and try Gelato! I'm half-Italian, so I feel like it would only be right.
This was a great contemporary! The only issue I had is that this was set during a week? I felt like a lot happened to Lina in a week and I'm not totally sure if someone can fall in love and make major decisions in just one week. Ren was one of my favorite characters. I loved him from the start. Their romance wasn't insta-love which I enjoyed because I prefer a slow burn romance but learning that she fell in love just in 5 days rubbed me the wrong way.
Otherwise, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! Also, I listened to this on audio and I would recommend the audiobook as it has a full cast.
