Man...I really wanted to love this more. It started off strong, and when I found out we were getting a post-mortem POV from the matriarch, I was so excited!
But as the chapters unfurled, switching perspectives and sharing the stories of each woman, I began to feel disconnected from them. Something about this felt hollow and unsatisfying, with my least favorite plot line (miscommunication) making a persistent run all the way to the very end. Also, I understand the different men in their lives shaped the way these women moved forward, but...I don't know, I was really wanting a stronger focus on the familial relationships between them and how they attempted to repair them. Overall, a rather disappointing read for me.
