omqchristi 's review for:
The Great Gatsby
by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Readability: 3/5
Plot: 3/5
Recommend: No
The Great Gatsby details the story of Jay Gatsby and his love for Daisy Buchanan, a married woman. It is also accompanied by the lives of Tom Buchanan (Daisy's husband), Jordan Baker, and Nick Carraway.
I came into this book with pretty high expectations and was quite disappointed. I read this in one sitting with an audiobook and the physical book, and if it weren't for the audiobook, I don't think I would've wanted to finish this in one sitting. The beginning and middle of the book were slow, and since the end was faster with more things happening, I think the end was the best.
There wasn't anything special or significant in this book. I expected something that would make me feel or think some way, but that didn't happen. This book is okay, but is very overrated.
