It was nice to get back to the ka-tet once again, it's been a while since I read the book before this one and I always find I enjoy books in a series if I wait a bit between books. You start to get to miss the characters and want to know what happens next.
And boy, I was not disappointed. Just as in the other Dark Tower books, plenty happens to the ka-tet, much of it just as exciting as the other books.
I learned to love the characters I've known for a while now again and it was a great to read more about how their story continued.
I'm still not sure how I feel about the whole character of Stephen King part of the book, it was interesting, I know that much and the end of it sure was weird and amazing as is expected from The Dark Tower books but I'm still not sure exactly how I feel about it.
And again, he ends on a semi cliffhanger where this part of the story hasn't actually ended and you really just want to pull out the next book and get reading that one.
It was much the same as with Blaine the Mono but a bit less right in the middle of things.
I'll be reading the next book sooner then this one from the last, but I need a little time to let this part of the ka-tet story sink in and meld with the rest.
A great read, and yet another wonderful story with our beloved characters.
