The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
4.0

I find it very intriguing the The Jungle Book, particularly Mowgli's stories, have really blown up in the literary canon. There's really only three stories about Mowgli, and yet there have been all these adaptions and retellings, which is very interesting. The stories are okay. I like how Kaa is more beneficial than flat out evil, and Baloo is more of a grizzled teacher than a lazy bump on the log.

Shere Khan is not as intimidating as he is in other materials, but it's pretty hilarious to see how everyone just HATES him, like that annoying kid who won't shut up in class.

I liked a decent amount of the other stories, like The White Seal and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. I actually think the latter might be my favorite in this bunch.
