creative & mysterious, but it has an unsatisfying and ambiguous conclusion.
ELEMENTS I ENJOYED
• magical realism
• dual-timelines with alternating POVs
• vivid descriptions of the beautiful setting
• interesting characters
• easy to understand the Italian words & phrases sprinkled throughout the story thanks to context clues or immediate translations
ELEMENTS I DIDN’T ENJOY
• too slow-paced
• uninteresting ending with some loose ends
• the story has a lot of potential, but it ultimately feels like very little happens despite it spanning over 100 years
📖 Thank you to The Hive, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book
