After the attack Artemisia finds herself on the run from the priest confessor who seeks her powers and trying to solve a sinister mystery of saints, dark magic, and the new relationship between her and the revenant. This was a delightfully fun read. I enjoyed the revenant and Artemisia’s relationship so much, and getting to see them grow to trust one another and help one another, all while trying to solve a mystery? Perfection. I am so excited for the next book and to see where they go together.
