This was a truly exceptional book written by an amazing woman. Sarah McBride details her journey in a poignant and emotionally written story that really hits home with all of the challenges that transgender citizens face each day. The main thing that I took from this book is that behind all the politics, and hate speech, and, arguments about rights, are people who are just trying to love, live their lives, and have access to the same basic rights as everyone else. That's what gets lost in all the rhetoric. I highly recommend this book!
