This is a spoiler free review for the whole series, up to where it is currently out in English volumes (volume 12). I update it periodically as I don't like rating individual volumes and would rather rate the series as a whole.
I have been hooked on Frieren since volume 1. I love the emotional take on the traditional fantasy setting and world. The art is incredible and I am always blown away by the detail in the backgrounds. The characters show great development along with the plotline. It's not a perfect series, it has dragged in places, but I always look forward to a new volume.
