I didn’t really enjoy this book, I just don’t enjoy this type of language in writing & really had to push myself to persevere till the end. Despite this, I was still intrigued by Cecily’s story. She was an interesting woman, incredibly capable, strong-willed & wise, married to the Duke of York in the 1400’s, during a time when men ruled & women… well they sure weren’t meekly in the background.
I feel that for my personal tastes, had the writing style been different, I probably would have enjoyed this much more.
