Tribesmen
by Adam Cesare
Tribesmen was a fun throwback to the 80s giallo cannibal style of horror movies. It is one of my favorite genres in film! In this story, we follow a group of people traveling to an isolated island to make a movie and what happens once they are there is shocking and horrific.
Adam Cesare did a great job at keeping me invested in the story and the characters. I gritted my teeth at some of the scenes just imagining what some of them were thinking and going through. If I can feel that kind of empathy for character in a book then the author is doing it right in my book! Cesare creates a story that, while being an homage to a gory cinema craze of the past, remains fresh and unique with its own spin.
4 stars for this one~ It's a quick read that will make your palms sweat!
