I wanted to love this book, being that it was started by Michael Crichton.

And it wasn't terrible. But there were definitely FAR too many pages describing battles with various insects that I thought were quite overkill. Most of it was interesting, there was just... a lot of it. I was waiting for something more interesting to happen with the group; for them to actually make some progress.
