Afrofuturism: The World of Black Sci-Fi and Fantasy Culture
by Ytasha Womack
I love this book because it gives you so many avenues of film, fiction, music, art, and culture to look into and keep reading. There's a lot of big ideas in here, but not a lot of analysis of them. I feel like his book works more as a foundation to let you do your own research and thinking, which I think fits well with its concept. This was ac tally a reread, the first time I read it was for a college course on Afrofuturism, and I'm very happy I read it again.
