Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two
by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany, J.K. Rowling
Obviously it's very different from the novels - it's got a different style, the tone and pacing and dialogue is different , but that's to be expected I think, since it's a play and Rowling didn't write it alone. I liked the first part a lot. Part two had some moments where it felt a bit like HP Fanfiction. Mostly it was just nice to be in that world again. I'm unsure if I want to consider this story canon or not. I think it would look incredible on stage. It felt a bit like Rowling was out of practice with writing some of the original characters, but Scorpius is awesome and witty and I like him a lot. All in all, it's not bad. It feels very nostalgic.
