I'm not entirely sure what to make of this book. It certainly has intriguing and scary elements, but overall, it feels quite confusing and chaotically written. It's like there's not enough substance to support the structure. The format of a long, detailed letter didn't quite work for me. The basic premise is a modern twist on "The Turn of the Screw," but it wasn't quite successful. All in all, it's decent enough to kill a few hours, but falls short of expectations.
