Any Trope but You
by Victoria Lavine
This book was so fun and really well done for a debut novel. The initial "scandal" was really comical and felt way more dramatic than real life would be, but I think that's what made it so funny. The author shoves so many tropes into this book but because the FMC is an author, she calls them out and gets so frustrated that it's happening to her. I loved that spin on the tropes.
Margot and Forrest were such genuine and likable characters. I loved how they came from different worlds, but had so much in common and really bonded over taking care of their family members. In the middle I was getting a little annoyed with Margot and Forrest making choices for their loved ones, but this was resolved really nicely.
I was NOT expecting the spice scenes to be THAT SPICY. I am no amateur when it comes to smut but I was defiantly nervous that someone was going to overhead my audio book. This might not be the book you want playing on your car radio when you're stuck in traffic.
I am really pleasantly surprised by this one and am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
