To All the Boys I've Loved Before
by Jenny Han
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Laura Jean writes to all the boys she has loved so she can close that chapter off from her life and be out of love with them. One day in school, Peter K. one of the boys she wrote to approaches Laura Jean about her letter. Then, all of a sudden the five books she secretly wrote to got her letters even though those were meant only for her and supposed to be in her hat box in her bedroom.
At the same time Laura Jean’s older sister goes to Scotland for school. Her older sister breaks up with Josh, her boyfriend and one of Laura Jean’s crushes. Josh is one of the other boys who got a letter from her. This confuses Josh, but freaks Laura Jean out that Josh knows she had feelings for him. Instead of admitting to them she tells Josh that Peter K. is her boyfriend and she goes up to Peter and kisses him randomly in the hallway to show Josh.
Peter finds out that Laura Jean said that they are dating to throw Josh off. Peter just came out of a long time relationship and decided that Laura Jean and him could pretend date to make his ex jealous and to prove to Josh that she has a boyfriend.
To All The Boys I Have Ever Loved Before is a delightful read. It is fluffy, hilarious, and a cute book. I enjoyed Laura Jean’s younger sister Kitty with all her witty remarks. Plus, all the characters were greatly developed. I cannot wait to read the sequels because I need to know what happens.
