This one had a bit of a slow start, but it really picked up once the story got going. Maeve Hazel has done a fantastic job of creating two lovable, but deeply flawed characters. They both bring their own grief and baggage to the relationship but also bring out the best in one another. One of the highlights of the book for me was the friendship between Merielle and Haelyn. This was my first book by Hazel and I'm definitely going to be reading some more.
