This book was much better than I expected it to be. It's not perfect, there are some things about it that left me emotionally confused, but overall, this book is quite amazing. It's an adventure. The character of the count is the epitome of manipulation and intrigue. I loved Dumas' ability to write conversation that makes the reader understand what the characters don't. I was more than impressed with this book.
