Haymitch came off self centered and as an asshole in The Hunger Games...but I grew to love him, this deeply scarred man, in the rest of the original trilogy. I knew how things ended for him but finally getting to deep dive into his story...we finally get to see how he was...what changed him and how his defiance cost him so greatly. I love him even more now and I absolutely bawled my eyes out over his losses. I'm glad there was an epilogue to soothe my battered heart.
And now I want to read the original trilogy again just to see what hidden gems I missed because I didn't have the whole story yet.
