as a horror lover and bug guy, i was hyped up for this!
here’s what immediately lost me:
  • man writing teenage girls
  • evil billionaire fucking with science COULD have been cool if he was motivated by like, extreme passion for entomology and maybe this is revealed later in the book, but i couldn’t get past the weird sister shit
  • characters not interesting enough to me in the first 100 pages and i don’t think that’s asking too much!!!!!!
