The Summer List is a new YA sapphic romance by Katia Rose. It’s actually her first YA, and it’s seriously good.

The Summer List is about Naomi and Andrea, who meet while Naomi is house-sitting for her dad’s boss. Naomi and her friends decide to write a group bucket list to complete before they start university. But Naomi is also expecting to spend most of the summer alone in the house reading, which she is happy about because she is extremely socially anxious. And then Andrea, the boss’s daughter, turns up unexpectedly in the middle of the night and shakes up her summer, and maybe her whole life.

This novel deals with important subjects like social anxiety and neurodiversity, and deals with them really well. It is a beautiful story of learning to love and accept yourself and find your place in the world.
