Redemption by E. Davies

Wonderful small town romance

I’ve been waiting for Chad and Jasper’s story and once again Ed Davies has given us a well written, gorgeous love story.
Chad was quite the complex character under all his swagger and brashness in previous books. He’s ashamed of the way he previously treated people, feels his life is empty and lonely and every rejection hurts him. He’s afraid to reach out to others because of his past behaviour. It’s beautiful the way he changes himself into a better person.
Jasper is still hiding out in Hidden Creek after he was mugged in Houston. Jasper has sass, strength, optimism, sparkle and sensitivity in spades.
He knows about Chad’s reputation and past but doesn’t judge him for it.
They have an almost instant intense attraction but it’s not acted on immediately. Their physical attraction is taken slowly and thoughtfully.
This is such a beautiful story and I admit that on a few occasions I shed a silent tear for Chad, but with a couple of bumps along the way, Chad and Jasper make it to their HEA.
This is the final book in this season of the Hidden Creek series. It can be read as a stand-alone but characters from previous books are included in the story. You don’t need to read the series but it’s so good that I highly recommend this book and the previous instalments.
